AS PER MY PREVIOUS

As Per My Previous, 2026 is work that featured in the group show Touching Eden in the Morley Gallery. The work explores how institutional processes shape, and sometimes foreclose, the conditions under which learning happens.

Inspired by Sarah Ahmed’s Complaint! the work uses archival materials generated from work-place disputes and, through plain, 2/2 twill and triaxial weaving, formulates them into non-functional baskets, which struggle to carry what is placed within them.

This work was conceived with the support of Conditions Studio Programme (2025) mentor, Harun Morrison, to whom I offer thanks.
